Businesses are constantly trying to find ways to automate and improve efficiency with business operations. Brennan Clark from and his team at Rikibo has come up with a marketing solution that takes away some of the time-consuming tasks involved in a marketing campaign. As an Event Planner, I'm particularly interested in the target offering Brennan notes in the last question below!
1. Can you tell me about Rikibo and why you co-founded your business?
I’m a digital marketer by trade, and over the years I found that a lot of the work I was doing – From determining campaign targeting strategies to building dozens of ads to A/B test – Was actually quite repetitive. Rikibo was founded to automate those repetitive (and, admittedly, boring) tasks.
Our general philosophy at Rikibo is that marketers should be spending their time on key tasks like strategy and creative direction, while our software can handle the rest.
2. Your website highlights that Rikibo makes marketing easier. Can you describe how it works?
As many marketers know, the key to optimizing your online advertising efforts is to be continuously testing. New channels, new audiences, new copy.
What customers get with Rikibo is the simplest way to run these tests. You can build a campaign in less than 60 seconds, and our software will automatically build and optimize your campaigns across channels like Facebook, Instagram, Google, and LinkedIn.
All you have to do is tell us a bit about the campaign you want to run, how much you want to spend, and you’re set. Our software finds the best audiences for your ads, and automatically runs a variety of tests and optimizations to ensure your ads are running at peak performance. On average our customers have seen their Cost per Lead drop by 45%, and their average Cost per Click drop by over 60%.
3. How can event planners (and businesses hosting events) utilize Rikibo for event marketing purposes?
Rikibo offers a great way to build your guest list in the most cost-effective manner possible. Another use case is a retargeting campaign, meaning you can advertise to the event attendees after the event has wrapped up. You can upload your guest list in the Rikibo dashboard and showcase targeted ads that will only be seen by guests that are on that list.
4. I would love to know more about your latest project setting up a conference campaign!
One of our newest targeting offerings is hyperlocal geofencing. How this works is we set up a ‘virtual geofence’ around an event location: This can be anything from a large convention center that’s hosting a conference, down to a small hotel that you want to target. When people enter into that location, they’re then added to an audience that can be served mobile ads.
The most common use of this type of targeting is for events and conferences. We just had a customer launch a new brand at a large conference in the UK – We were able to help them create significant buzz by serving ads to the conference attendees. We got to test a variety of different ads and messages, and it was far more cost effective and engaging than buying a spot in the conference newsletter or magazine.
